Rules & Tournament Day Info

Tournament Day Instructions

The morning of the tournament goes as follows.

Check in and pay the optional $10 big fish challenge. This is the only cash taken at the tournament.

Draw a takeoff number poker chip. This is also your weigh-in number. Do not lose this chip! We will take off in the order of your number. Everyone has to be back by 3pm regardless of takeoff number. This should take no longer than 5 minutes to send all the anglers on their way.

Get in your boat and idle clear of the boat ramp. Find an area to tie off to other teams and wait. Do not park boats in any area that conflicts with other users. After everyone is checked-in we will have any last minute instructions held on your VHF radio on channel 68 in the water. Do not be late! Upon returning to the 3pm weigh-in deadline put your poker chip/weigh-in number in the designated weigh-in box. At 3pm this box will be closed and no other teams will be allowed to weigh-in. We will draw numbers and start calling teams to weigh-in. Remember to always keep yours boats as clear as possible so as not to cause any congestion and issues during takeoff and weigh-in.

Measuring Fish

We measure fish on a Check it stick. Left hand head with the fishes belly towards the weigh master. We pinch the tail making the fish as long as possible. We do not flip fish. Over is over and under is under. We recommend using a Check It stick for your fish. Any fish with an unnatural tail or altered tail will not be weighed.
